13 Apr Invictus Tower in Fribourg
And the Invictus project is almost complete for Sottas!
In total, 1,344 components of all types have been produced for the tallest residential building in the canton of Fribourg.
Following the completion of the curtain wall on the first five storeys, our teams are now finalising the installation of the top floors using components of varying dimensions (ranging from 0.8 m to 1.8 m in width and 2.5 m in height).
From the 6th to the 19th floor, the elements are installed between floor slabs. In these images, you can see the continuous aluminium profiles being fitted directly onto the concrete, to which the glazing frames are then attached.
If you were to ask our fitters, they would surely say that one of the challenges of this project… was the logistics.
With two goods lifts available, one for materials and the other for workers, every journey had to be optimised to transport the components to the installation areas. Because on the 19th floor, every single trip counts. And our fitters probably gained a few steel-like thighs in the process 😄
👏 Well done to all the project teams for their commitment and the quality of the work carried out!
