👀 A look at the current projects of our apprentice metalworkers

Thanks to our collaboration with Fribourg School of Engineering and Architecture (HEIA-FR, our apprentices are involved in meaningful projects that are rooted in the reality of the field.

𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 👷♀️👷♂️ A competition in which 9 teams made up of civil engineering students and metal construction apprentices go head to head. The aim? Design a 5-metre metal bridge weighing up to 500 kg and erect it in less than 30 minutes! The competition is open to the public and will be held on 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢 𝟑𝟎 𝐦𝐚𝐢 𝐚̀ 𝐥𝐚 𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐀-𝐅𝐑👉 https://lnkd.in/eZpFu9qy.

𝐔𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚̀ 𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 🚑🌍 Developed by a mechanical engineering student as part of his degree work, this stretcher was designed for emergency situations in regions where access by ambulance is impossible. Modular, repairable on site and made from simple materials, the prototype was produced entirely in our workshops. And soon it will be put to the test… in Rwanda !
